![]() Lets Recap, What are Great Buildings and What does a Forge of Empires Blueprint Do?.A lot of other guild members may also be able to pick up a trade for you, and you just have to ask. The guild traders don’t expect you to buy uneven trades, and they can’t be expected to buy your uneven trades. As a rule the traders scout the market for your trades every couple of hours and will buy up anything they can that is a fair trade. Sometimes the traders will tell you to post a trade and they will go pick it up for you. We strongly suggest you try to contact one of the guild traders and ask them if they can post a trade for you. We know that you want goods when you want them (right now). That is a good question that demands and answer. (2 divided by 1 equals 2) What if all I can find are the uneven trades when I need some goods? The ratio of 2 = any 2 goods being traded for any 1 goods therefore 2:1. ![]() The ratio of 1 = any 1 goods being traded for any 1 goods therefore 1:1. The ratio of 0.5 = any 1 goods being traded for any 2 goods therefore 1:2. Also shown are examples of trades that are the same rate and some are fair and some are for profit. See the picture above and notice there are several trades that have a different rate, but are still fair trades, and some that are not. This is from the FoE website reguarding their ratios in trading (not a rule just the facts) We ask that our guild members only buy the fair trades. You can see the offer in red is for profit, and the offer in green is a fair trade. This trade screen shows several uneven and even trades. Forge of Empires FoE basic fair trade example: And there we have it the key, our guild members/mates need to know the difference between the two types of trades and buy only fair trades that are meant for them. Currently there is no way for a guild member to tell the difference between a guild only, and an everyone trade (neighborhood/friends), besides looking at the trade and being able to tell the difference between the two types. Traders who trade uneven for profit are also expected to post a lot of guild only fair trades for our guild mates. ![]() Posting guild only fair trades for our guild members while keeping up with demand is the ultimate goal. The buyer is gaining a benefit for expedient growth while we gain the benefit of extra goods to sell back to our guild members at fair trade prices. You may say “well, that sounds like you are taking advantage of them” we say “no more than Walmart is taking advantage of someone who wants to buy a tv”, “or a convenience store charges to it’s customers for the convenience”. Our traders can double, triple, and quadruple the goods stockpiles by trading uneven in those markets to desperate players. If guild members are aware of the uneven trading they can avoid buying these trades, because they know the reason traders do this is to bring extra goods from our neighbors and friends into the guild. This may sound funny to a lot of people, but let me explain a little why this can be very beneficial to a guild. At North Star we like to look at it like this as a general rule: Trades posted for everyone (neighborhood/friends) should be posted as an uneven trade for profit Some players will leave a guild that post uneven trades to go to a guild that only does even trades or fair trades. Many guilds post a rule to this effect right in their charter on their guild info page. I know that a lot of players hear others talking about how they feel trading standards should be and it seems that a majority of players like stick to fair trades only. The trade market is set up for transfer of production (not fair trades). They sum it up in the first sentence by stating: Are there trading rules regarding goods in Forge of Empires FoE? Turns out that this is a huge debate amongst FoE players.įorge of Empires settles this question on their Trade Market forum thread.
